MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE HONORARY DESIGNATIONS OF THE "PHIL SMITH MEMORIAL HIGHWAY," THE "TERRY STILES MEMORIAL BOULEVARD," AND THE "RICK CASE MEMORIAL HIGHWAY," ON THE ROAD SEGMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN FLORIDA SENATE BILL 628 (2026); RECOGNIZING THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AS THE AGENCY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HONORARY DESIGNATION MARKERS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Florida Senate Bill 628 (2026), approved by Governor Ron DeSantis on April 14, 2026, designates that portion of S.R. 5/U.S. 1 between N.E. 38th Street and E. Commercial Boulevard as the "Phil Smith Memorial Highway," that portion of S.R. 842/East Las Olas Boulevard between South Andrews Avenue and S.E. 6th Avenue as the "Terry Stiles Memorial Boulevard," and that portion of S.R. A1A between the north end of the Hillsboro Inlet and the next mile marker north of 991 Hillsboro Mile as the "Rick Case Memorial Highway" (each a "Designated Segment" and collectively the "Designated Segments").
