A. MOTION TO APPROVE Contract No. 10993 between the State of Florida, Department of Juvenile Justice and Broward County in the amount of $831,438 to Broward County, effective September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2029, to conduct assessments for eligible youth who receive a prearrest delinquency citation; authorize the County Administrator to execute renewals and amendments to the Contract that do not impose additional financial obligations on Broward County, subject to legal sufficiency review and approval by the County Attorney's Office; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Contract.
B. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution in the Crisis Intervention Fund in the amount of $19,146 to fund assessment services for eligible youth who receive a prearrest delinquency citation.

Why Action is Necessary
A. Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Commission") approval is required for agreements with external agencies.
B. Section 129.06(2)(d), Florida Statutes, requires a budget Resolution to recognize revenue.
What Action Accomplishes
Approval of Motions A and B provides continued funding of assessment services for eligible youth in the Juvenile Civil Citation program in Broward County.
