Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On June 4, 2019 (Item No. 71), the Board of County Commissioners approved a Motion to Authorize the Director of Purchasing to execute the Fourth Amendment with SP Plus Corporation for Parking Management Services, Agreement No. R1138035P1, for Facilities Management Division, extending the contract term up to February 29, 2020, and increase the contract threshold in the amount of $789,000.
This motion requests Board of County Commission approval of a Fifth Amendment (Exhibit 1) to the agreement between Broward County and SP Plus Corporation to extend the contract term of the agreement for an additional one month to March 31, 2020 with the option to further extend the agreement for up to five additional one-month periods on a month-to-month basis, at the sole discretion of County’s Director of Purchasing, through August 31, 2020; and increase the contract threshold in the amount of $441,350 while these services are being solicited for a new contract(s).
Currently the solicitation is pending the final evaluation committee meeting and a new contract(s) is anticipated to be awarded before August 31, 2020.
