MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2020-029 directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of a Public Hearing to be held on February 11, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., to consider enactment of an Ordinance adopting a proposed Small Scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 20-3), located in the City of Pompano Beach (Commission District 4), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the substance of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF POMPANO BEACH; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to be held subsequent to receipt of a recommendation from the Broward County Planning Council prior to adoption of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for February 11, 2020, to consider adoption of proposed map amendment PC 20-3, which is a small scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.
