This item relates to activities in the Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD). The Broward Municipal Services District, formerly known as Unincorporated Broward County, consists of 11.4 square miles and has a population of approximately 15,006.* The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the District, and provides municipal services for the area, including business and housing development, library and park facilities, roadway maintenance, street enhancements, and zoning and code enforcement.

Broward County Water and Wastewater Services identified several easements that are required in order to finish installation of water and/or sewer services in Hillsboro Pines.  These properties will be switching from well water and septic system to the County’s utility system for sewer and the City of Coconut Creek’s system for water. Water and Wastewater Services has requested and obtained 19 utility easements from the affected property owners as part of BCWWS Project No. 9179-100898 Hillsboro Pines Bid Pack 3. Approval of these easements will convey the necessary access for the City of Coconut Creek’s water lines and Broward County’s sewer lines needed to serve these residents.

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
