MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance adopting a Small Scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 20-3), located in the City of Pompano Beach (Commission District 4), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the substance of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF POMPANO BEACH; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to Section 163.3184(11), Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.
What Action Accomplishes
The Ordinance adopts Broward County Small Scale Land Use Plan map amendment PC 20-3, in accordance with Section 163.3187(1), Florida Statutes, as amended.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small scale amendment, PC 20-3, at its December 12, 2019, public hearing and recommended approval, recognizing the City of Pompano Beach’s General Obligation Bond Complete Street project for State Road A1A and its micro-transit program along Atlantic Boulevard, including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 12-0; Blackwelder, Breslau, Brunson, Castillo, Fernandez, Gomez, Graham, Hardin, Maxey, Parness, Rosenof and Stermer):
AMENDMENT PC 20-3
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Pompano Beach
3.5 acres of Recreation and Open Space and 0.7 acres of Community to Commerce
Approximately 4.2 acres; generally located north of Atlantic Boulevard, between Riverside Drive and State Road A1A.
