In accordance with the Broward County Administrative Code, Section 27.188(d), the Accounting Division, with the assistance of the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department, is required to prepare and submit an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners for the projects funded and the disbursements made from the Tree Preservation Trust Fund.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

In accordance with the Broward County Administrative Code, Section 27.188(d), the Accounting Division, with the assistance of the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department, is required to prepare and submit an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners for the projects funded and the disbursements made from the Tree Preservation Trust Fund.

 

The Tree Preservation Trust Fund annual report includes the total fund balance of $705,222 as of September 30, 2019. Total revenue for the referenced time period was $123,770. Total funds disbursed during the referenced time period was $26,756. Projects ongoing and in the conceptual design phase are estimated to total $155,017, leaving a reserve for future projects in the amount of $550,205 (Exhibit 1).
