This item relates to activities in the Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD). The Broward Municipal Services District, formerly known as Unincorporated Broward County, consists of 11.4 square miles and has a population of approximately 15,006.* The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the District, and provides municipal services for the area, including business and housing development, library and park facilities, roadway maintenance, street enhancements,  and zoning and code enforcement.

The 2016 Population by Neighborhood is from the U.S. Census Bureau, 2012-2016, American Community Survey.

The North Springs Improvement District is the owner of a parcel of land on which a portion of Nob Hill Road is constructed. The parcel is located within the Broward Municipal Services District corridor abutting the City of Parkland and identified by Folio Numbers 4741-28-00-7020 and 4741-29-01-0015. This portion of the road is included in the Broward County Trafficways Plan and runs from Hillsboro Boulevard to Loxahatchee Road. This roadway extending approximately 4,300 linear feet was constructed per terms of a developer’s agreement between WCI Properties, Inc. and the North Springs Improvement District. The agreement provided and the County agreed that the road would be transferred to the County upon completion of construction. By accepting this portion of Nob Hill Road, the County’s collector roadway is completed to the north County boundary and expands the regional road network in northern Broward County.
