Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The three properties were acquired by Broward County in the 1970s for the expansion of SW 12th Avenue. The road expansion has been completed and these remaining portions of the properties are not needed for any future use. The City of Deerfield Beach has requested the transfer of these parcels, and on December 3, 2019, the Deerfield Beach City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2019/176 which authorized the City Manager to accept the conveyance of the properties.
Property 1. The property is identified by Folio Number 4842-11-00-0018, measures approximately 83,200 square feet, and is located on the west side of SW 11th Way, north of SW 15th Street in Deerfield Beach.
Property 2. The property is identified by Folio Number 4842-12-00-0030, measures approximately 84,253 square feet, and is a portion of SW 11th Way, north of SW 15th Street in Deerfield Beach.
Property 3. The property is identified by Folio Number 4842-12-00-0630, measures approximately 202,942 square feet, and is a portion of SW 11th Way, south of SW 10th Street in Deerfield Beach.
All applicable Broward County agencies were solicited for potential County use for these properties or rights therein, and no current or future use was identified.
All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
