MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT RELATED TO THE BROWARD MUNICIPAL SERVICES DISTRICT; AMENDING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT RELATED TO THE BROWARD MUNICIPAL SERVICES DISTRICT LAND USE AND COMMUNITY PLANNING ELEMENT, INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION ELEMENT, AND PUBLIC SCHOOL FACILITIES ELEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Previous Action Taken
At its meeting on December 3, 2019 (Agenda Item No. 60), the Board adopted resolution 2019-547 to transmit the proposed amendment to designated state agencies for review, pursuant to Ch. 163.3184, Florida Statutes. On February 25, 2020, the Board adopted a resolution to publish public notice of the adoption hearing for the proposed amendment.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY (LPA), AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On April 25, 2017 the Board adopted the BrowardNEXT Land Use Plan (LUP). On March 28, 2019 the Board adopted the BrowardNEXT2.0 Comprehensive Plan.
