Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The County owns two parcels of land situated at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and North State Road 7. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) requested that Broward County convey these properties consisting of swale area and concrete sidewalk to FDOT. FDOT owns and maintains that portion of West Commercial Boulevard and North State Road 7, adjacent to these parcels. Transferring ownership to FDOT would help facilitate maintenance of this roadway under its jurisdiction.
Property 1 - Identified by Folio Number 4942-1803-0340 and is comprised of a swale area and concrete sidewalk located at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and the southeast corner of North State Road 7 and containing approximately 1,065 square feet.
Property 2 - Identified by Folio Number 4941-1301-0170 and is comprised of a swale area located at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and the southwest corner of North State Road 7 and containing approximately 2,886 square feet.
All applicable Broward County agencies were solicited for potential County use for this parcel or rights therein, and no current or future use was identified.
All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
