Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

Miramar Parkway from University Drive to SW 69th Way is a County road located in the City of Miramar. The City desires to undertake a project to improve this road at no cost to the County. The project includes installation of new landscaping, irrigation, and decorative stamped concrete. The landscaping improvements shall incorporate a minimum 50% native species by plant types and shall follow the Broward County NatureScape program and Florida-Friendly Landscaping principles.

Approval of the agreement will allow the City to undertake the improvements project. Upon project completion, the City will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the landscaping and irrigation improvements, and decorative stamped concrete.

The agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney's Office and the Risk Management Division.
