Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (The Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Approves a non-vehicular access line amendment adjacent to the plat, subject to staff recommendations and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

This plat is located on 29 acres, on the northeast corner of Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road, in the City of Miramar. The applicant is requesting to amend the non-vehicular access line (“NVAL”) along Miramar Parkway to relocate 40-foot access opening and eliminate 80-foot access opening on Flamingo Road. Two additional requests are being submitted concurrently for consideration by the Board to amend plat note and modify conditions of plat approval. See attached Staff Report.
