Why Action is Necessary
Chapter 2, Section 2-40(a) of the Broward County Code of Ordinances requires that the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") authorize any commercial activities or the occupation of space at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ("FLL").
What Action Accomplishes
Approves the Terminal Building Lease Agreement ("TBLA") between Broward County ("County") and Skyfuel Aviation Services of Fort Lauderdale, LLC ("Skyfuel"), to lease space in Terminal 4, in accordance with the provisions of the TBLA, which establishes the payment of rent for the leased space at FLL.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action approves the TBLA between the County and Skyfuel to lease space in Terminal 4 in accordance with the provisions of the TBLA, which establishes the payment of rent for the leased space at FLL.
On May 22, 2019, the Director of Aviation approved a Short Term TBLA between the County and Skyfuel to lease and use space in Terminal 4 to provide fueling to various airlines at FLL. The current Short Term TBLA expires on May 21, 2020.
