It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed text amendment, PCT 20-6, at its February 27, 2020, public hearing. A motion was made and seconded to approve the proposed amendment. The motion failed. (Vote of the Planning Council; 2-16; Yes: Maxey and Rich. No: Blattner, Breslau, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Fernandez, Gomez, Good, Graham, Hardin, Parness, Railey, Rosenof, Ryan, Williams and Stermer) The recommendation of the Planning Council moves forward as a denial.
