Summary Explanation/Background
COUNTY ADMINISTRATION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

On March 10, 2020 (Item No. 45), the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2020-103, authorizing the conveyance to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) of a parcel identified by Folio Number 4941-1301-0170 and comprised of a swale area located at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and the southwest corner of North State Road 7.

The deed from Broward County to FDOT contained scrivener's errors in the property's legal description. More specifically Parcel 15, paragraph 5, erroneously referenced 82 degrees instead of 88 degrees; Parcel 16, paragraph 6, erroneously referenced 83 degrees instead of 88 degrees; and Parcel 17, paragraph 7, erroneously referenced 86 degrees instead of 89 and a distance of 48.64 feet instead of 46.64 feet. Approval of this Corrective Quit Claim Deed will rectify errors on the legal description and clear the chain of title.
