Summary Explanation/Background

On March 10, 2020 (Item No. 62), the Board of County Commissioners authorized the County Administrator to take necessary actions to provide for the health and safety of Broward County residents and visitors and to maintain the day-to-day business and operations in connection with COVID-19. The Board’s authorization required advanced written notice to the Board of any actions taken by the County Administrator and subsequent ratification at the next official public meeting of the Board of County Commissioners.

 

The revocable License Agreement allows the use of the property by the Florida  Department of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic for the specific purposes of contact tracing of individuals exposed to COVID-19 and other related uses including but not limited to training and administration.
