MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance, the title of which is as follows (this is the first of two (2) required public hearings; the second public hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.):
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO ZONING; AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 39 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES ("CODE"); PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS, BUILDING AND STRUCTURE HEIGHTS, NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REQUIREMENTS, AND REGULATIONS RELATED TO SIGNAGE AND NONCONFORMING BUILDINGS, USES, AND STRUCTURES; INCORPORATING STORM AND HURRICANE PROTECTION REGULATIONS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE; PROVIDING GENERAL UPDATING AMENDMENTS; AMENDING SECTION 81/2-16 OF THE CODE REGARDING THE SCHEDULE OF CIVIL PENALTIES FOR ZONING-RELATED VIOLATIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
