A Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish notice of public hearing to consider adoption of the Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners at its meeting of August 25, 2020.

Summary Explanation/Background
On June 2, 2020, the Board amended the Local Preference Ordinance, including to modify the definitions of local businesses and locally based businesses that qualify for certain preferences. Pending the Board's consideration in the upcoming months of a comprehensive amendment to the Broward County Procurement Code ("Procurement Code"), this interim amendment to the Procurement Code is presented for the Board's consideration to incorporate the June 2020 amendments to the Local Preference Ordinance into the Procurement Code as the operative method of determining a vendor's principal place of business for the purpose of breaking ties.
