Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT/TRANSIT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development established a Disadvantage Business Enterprises participation goal of 10% for this project (Exhibit 2).
The purpose of this contract is to provide bus driver protection barriers used in the Broward County Transit Division's bus fleet.
The Transit Division reviewed the bids submitted by The Aftermarket Parts Company, LLC (Aftermarket), and concurs with the recommendation for award (Exhibit 3). Two performance evaluations have been completed for Aftermarket; the company has an overall rating of 3.08 out of a possible 5.0. Copies of the vendor performance evaluations are available upon request.
GD Services submitted a bid with a total amount of $493,520. The funding for this procurement is from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and their bid was deemed as non-responsive for failure to submit the required FTA documents per Section D of the Special Instructions to Vendors in the b...
