Summary Explanation/Background

The Edgar P. Mills Center’s parking structure has structural issues that need repair and until the repairs are made, all or part of the parking structure cannot be used. This left the Mills Center, which provides essential services to the public, without parking. Due to the need to immediately secure parking for the Edgar P. Mills Center, the County Administrator executed a License Agreement, attached as Exhibit 1, securing  150 temporary parking spaces (located at 3291 West Sunrise Boulevard, Lauderhill, Florida 33311) for the Edgar P. Mills Center until its parking structure is repaired. The License Agreement was reviewed and approved as to legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.  This action allows for the Edgar P. Mills Center to remain open and operational.  The initial term of the license agreement is for three months with the ability for the County to extend the term for three additional 30-day periods.
