Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Resolution will convey three irregularly-shaped road easements from Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale to Broward County. The easements of varying sizes measure approximately: five feet by 102 feet; five feet by 203 feet; and five feet by 106 feet and are located along the west side of NW 23rd Avenue south of NW 16th Street, between NW 16th Street and NW 16th Court, and north of NW 16th Court, respectively.
The easements will provide adequate sight distance for safety, facilitate the installation of future traffic control devices and pedestrian enhancements, and accommodate future multi-modal transportation improvements.
The road easements have been reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office.
