Summary Explanation/Background

The Office of the County Auditor conducted an audit of the Records, Taxes and Treasury Division Auto Tags Section. Our audit objectives were to determine whether auto tag licenses are issued, renewed, and enforced in accordance with laws, policies, and best practices and whether all monies are accounted for and handled properly.

 

We conclude that auto tag licenses are issued, renewed, and enforced in accordance with laws, policies, and best practices and that all monies are accounted for and handled properly. Opportunities for Improvement are included in the report.

 

We appreciate the cooperation and assistance provided by the Auto Tags Section throughout our review process.
