It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.

The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for October 20, 2020, to consider transmittal of proposed map amendment PC 20-7, which is an amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, to designated State review agencies pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed map amendment, PC 20-7, at its September 17, 2020, public hearing and recommended approval, including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; 14-0; Yes: Blackwelder, Blattner, Breslau, Brunson, Fernandez, Gomez, Graham, Hardin, Maxey, Parness, Rich, Ryan, Williams and DiGiorgio. Abstain: Good.):

Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Pembroke Pines
From a Dashed-Line Area consisting of 509.2 acres of Irregular (2.243) Residential and 49.0 acres of Commerce to a Dashed-Line Area consisting of 527.6 acres of Irregular (2.621) Residential and 30.6 acres of Commerce.
Approximately 558.2 acres; generally located on the east side of Southwest 172 Avenue, between Pembroke Road and Pines Boulevard.
