MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2020-663 directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the County Commissioners' Meeting Room (Room 422), Governmental Center, 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to consider the application of Hirsch Stevedoring, LLC, for the granting of a nonexclusive restricted franchise for a one-year term to provide cargo handler services at Port Everglades, restricted to "New Business" as defined in Section 32.16.b.10 of the Broward County Administrative Code.

Public Hearing is required pursuant to Chapter 94-429, Laws of Florida, and Section 32.22.a. of the Broward County Administrative Code. Franchises are granted pursuant to Chapter 32 of the Broward County Administrative Code.

This action supports the Broward County Board of County Commissioners' ("Board") Value of "Ensuring economic opportunities for Broward's diverse population and businesses" and the Goal to "Increase the economic strength and impact of revenue-generating County enterprises balancing economic, environmental, and community needs."
Hirsch Stevedoring, LLC ("Hirsch"), a Florida limited liability company, was organized on November 12, 2019.
