Summary Explanation/Background

COUNTY ADMINISTRATION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

The parcel of land is identified by Folio Number 4942-02-00-0040 located on SW 12th Avenue, east of South Andrews Avenue and west of the Interstate 95 ramp in Pompano Beach (“City”). The parcel measures approximately 37,026 square feet and it is not suitable for development or building. It was acquired by Broward County by warranty deed on February 24, 1986 and currently serves as a local road.  The City requested the transfer of this parcel as the City currently maintains this road right-of-way.

 

All applicable Broward County agencies were solicited for potential County use for this property or rights therein, and no current or future use was identified.

 

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
