Pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.

The Ordinance adopts Broward County Land Use Plan map amendment PC 20-6 in accordance with Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.

August 25, 2020 - The County Commission approved transmittal for proposed amendment PC 20-6 to State review agencies; and October 20, 2020 - Set adoption Public Hearing for November 10, 2020.

 

Summary Explanation/Background

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed map amendment, PC 20-6, at its May 28, 2020, public hearing and recommended approval, recognizing the applicant’s voluntary commitment to restrict development to a maximum of 147 townhomes, and including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 17-0; Blackwelder, Breslau, Brunson, DiGiorgio, Fernandez, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, Hardin, Maxey, Parness, Railey, Rich, Ryan, Williams and Stermer):

 

AMENDMENT PC 20-6

Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Coral Springs

 

From Commerce within a Dashed-Line Area to Irregular (4.2) Residential within a Dashed-Line Area

 

Approximately 16.3 acres; generally located on the north side of Wiles Road, west of Coral Ridge Drive.
