Summary Explanation/Background
COUNTY ADMINISTRATION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

These parcels of land escheated to Broward County for non-payment of taxes. Title was conveyed to the County via a tax deed pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 197.502 (8) since there were no bidders at public sale and the former owners of these parcels did not file verified applications seeking a return of their property resulting in a tax deed.

Land acquired by the County for delinquent taxes and located within a municipality may be dedicated by the Board of County Commissioners for County use pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 197.592. All applicable County agencies were solicited for potential County use of these properties or rights therein, and one or more agency expressed a need to retain these parcels in County ownership.
