THE PORT EVERGLADES DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

This action supports the Broward County Board of County Commissioners' ("Board") Value of "Ensuring economic opportunities for Broward's diverse population and businesses" and the Goal to "Increase the economic strength and impact of revenue-generating County enterprises balancing economic, environmental, and community needs."

Everglades Pipe Line Company, L.P. ("EVERGLADES"), owns and operates a federally regulated, common carrier, jet fuel pipeline. The pipeline, which originates in Port Everglades and connects to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Miami International Airport (MIA), has operated for over sixty years subject to a series of agreements with the Port Everglades Authority and subsequently Broward County pertaining to those sections of the jet fuel pipeline located on land within the Port Jurisdictional Area.
