MOTION TO APPROVE Second Amendment to Agreement between Broward County and G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. for General Security Guard Services at Various County Facilities, Request for Proposals No. R1326208P1_1, extend the term of the Agreement through December 31, 2021, update billing rates, reallocate $2,755,476 from optional services to the overall contract threshold, increase the contract total not-to-exceed amount by $1,610,063 from $30,575,192 to $32,185,254; and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.43, Specific Period, a contract for supplies or services may be entered into for no more than five years without the express consent of the Board. Therefore, Board of County Commissioners' approval is required for this amendment in accordance with the provisions of the Broward County Procurement Code.
What Action Accomplishes
Allows for continued security guard services to be provided at various Broward County facilities while the new solicitation is in process.

THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On November 10, 2015 (Item No. 41), the Board of County Commissioners awarded open-end Contract No. R1326208P1_1 to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc., for an initial three year term in the amount of $16,289,114, and authorized the Director of Purchasing to renew the Agreement for two one-year periods for a total five-year not-to-exceed amount of $30,310,231, which includes $2,755,476 in optional services.
