MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2020-701 amending Article 5 of the Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext for consistency with the proposed revision to the adopted Broward County data and methodology for local governments to estimate its supply of affordable housing, the substance of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE 5 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE RULES DOCUMENT: BROWARDNEXT ("ADMINISTRATIVE RULES DOCUMENT"), CONSISTENT WITH BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN POLICY 2.16.2, REGARDING AFFORDABILITY HOUSING DATA AND METHODOLOGY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE RULES DOCUMENT, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
The Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext is adopted and maintained by the Broward County Planning Council for the purpose of providing assistance and guidance to local government entities and the general public and direction to the Council staff. Article 5 is also approved and adopted by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution will revise Article 5 of the Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext for consistency with the proposed revision (PCT 20-5) to the adopted Broward County data and methodology for local governments to estimate its supply of affordable housing.
