MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2020-703 to transmit a proposed amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan text (PCT 20-8), to revise the Climate Change Resilience Strategy CCR-2 for consistency with the update of the Priority Planning Areas for Sea Level Rise Map, as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, to designated State review agencies pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended, the substance of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, TRANSMITTING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN TEXT OF THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REGARDING THE CLIMATE CHANGE RESILIENCE STRATEGY CCR-2; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body, shall transmit proposed amendments to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan to designated State agencies for review.
