Summary Explanation/Background
District 8’s Office has remaining Fiscal Year 2020 funds that it would like to use to enter into agreements to provide funding for front line workers in the fight against COVID-19 or to support the families of fallen Florida officers. The five organizations, each of which would receive $1,000, are as follows: Haitian American Nurses Association; Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association; Florida Nurses Association; Broward Health Foundation; and the 9463 Foundation, which supports the families of Florida’s fallen officers.
