Summary Explanation/Background

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Planning and Development Management Division has received a request to vacate a portion of a ten-foot utility easement lying within the Welleby Civic Center Plat, as recorded in Plat Book 95, Page 29, and is located at 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard in the City of Sunrise. Vacating this utility easement will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owner.

The City of Sunrise adopted Ordinance No. 20-34 on April 14, 2020 granting approval of the abandonment and vacation of the utility easement. Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the abandonment and vacation of the subject easement.

This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney, see Exhibit 1.
