Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Office of Economic and Small Business Development established a County Business Enterprise (CBE) participation goal for this Agreement of 24%. As of September 28, 2020, Brown and Caldwell has been paid $7,186,722 with $1,890,908 paid to CBE firms, yielding 26.3% CBE participation. (Exhibit 1).

On December 9, 2014 (Item No. 47), the Board of County Commissioners approved the Agreement between Broward County and Brown and Caldwell for Consultant Engineering Services for Reclaimed Water Plant Expansion, RFP No. R1060205P1 (Exhibit 2), for pre-design, design, bidding and engineering services during construction, for a total amount of $8,135,627 and a time for performance of 1,370 days.
