Summary Explanation/Background

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Planning and Development Management Division has received a request to vacate a portion of the 100-foot by 82-foot traffic control device easement and portions of the variable width landscape buffer easement, both lying within Lots 1 and 2 of Miramar Central Plaza, according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 182, Page 80 of the Public Records of Broward County and generally located at northeast corner of Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road in the City of Miramar. Vacating these easements will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owner.

The City of Miramar adopted Resolution No. 20-40 on November 13, 2019 granting approval of the abandonment and vacation of the easements. Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the abandonment and vacation of the subject easements.

This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney (see Exhibit 1).
