THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The Racial Equity Task Force (RETF) is comprised of 37 members appointed by the Broward County Commission. The School Board of Broward County (School Board) is one of the 20 organizations that nominates a member to be appointed by the County Commission.
The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the RETF pursuant to Section 1-118, Broward County Code:
• The Reverend Dr. Rosalind Osgood as the School Board of Broward County Representative.
The Reverend Dr. Osgood was nominated by the School Board to serve on the CSB on November 17, 2020. The County Attorney has determined that Dr. Osgood qualifies for appointment (Exhibit 1).
