Summary Explanation/Background
THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE CRISIS INTERVENTION AND SUPPORT DIVISION ("CISD") RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

On June 13, 2017 (Item No. 20), the Commission authorized the County Administrator to execute the Agreement with Jason A. Schulman M.D., P.A. ("Dr. Schulman") for medical services at the Nancy. J. Cotterman Center ("NJCC"), Child Protection Team (CPT). The Agreement included the initial term of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, with up to four additional one-year renewal periods. The Agreement was subsequently renewed for three additional one-year terms, with the current term ending on June 30, 2021.

In late October 2020, Dr. Schulman expressed his desire to discontinue providing services. Following several discussions between County staff and Dr. Schulman, it was determined to be in the best interest of the County to terminate the Agreement.
