Summary Explanation/Background

COUNTY ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

Section 3.03.B. of the Broward County Charter and Section 2.6 of the Administrative Code provide for the County Administrator to nominate all department heads subject to approval by a majority vote of the Commission. Consistent with these requirements, the County Administrator presents the nomination of Mr. Trevor Fisher for appointment to the position of Acting Director of Public Works Department with the recommendation that appointment be approved as presented, to be effective immediately upon approval.

 

Mr. Trevor Fisher has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and earned his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Global Management. Mr. Trevor Fisher is a Florida Registered Professional Engineer and has over 35 years of construction and project management experience in numerous public works projects. He is also an International Airport Professional, accredited by Global ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme.  He has been with the County since April 2002 in various leadership positions and played a key leadership role in the $2.4B Airport Expansion Program and other capital projects in the Transportation Department in his current role as Assistant General Manager - Capital Programs.
