THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The Police and Criminal Justice Review Board (PCJRB) is comprised of 24 members appointed by the Broward County Commission. The Police Chief’s Association nominates a member to be appointed by the County Commission.
The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the PCJRB pursuant to Section 18-7, Broward County Code:
• Chief Albert A. Arenal as the Police Chief’s Association Nominee.
Chief Arenal was nominated by the Police Chief Association to serve on the PCJRB on March 24th, 2021. The County Attorney has determined that Chief Arenal qualifies for appointment (Exhibit 1).
