Summary Explanation/Background

THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.

 

This item supports the Board's Visions and Value of "Cooperatively delivering an efficient and accessible regional intermodal transportation network."

 

Staff is requesting approval of a Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) that will provide $182,088 in capital funding for park and ride leases, enhancements (signage, shelter, stops, etc.), and other costs associated with park and ride lots for I-95 Express Bus Service. Funds will be used for payment of leases for the North Perry Airport and other 95 Express park and ride-related purposes.

 

The PTGA has been reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office. County approval of the Resolution and execution of the JPA is required prior to FDOT executing said agreements.
