Summary Explanation/Background
Ms. Linda Taylor is a member of the Central County Community Advisory Board (CCCAB) and has a contractual relationship with the County through H.O.M.E.S., Inc. The company provides services related to affordable housing.

Pursuant to Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes, public officers, including advisory board members, may not "have or hold any employment or contractual relationship with any business entity or any agency which is subject to the regulation of, or is doing business with, an agency of which he or she is an officer or employee." The CCCAB serves in an advisory role to the Board. The CCCAB does not have final decision-making authority. However, it may be presented with affordable housing projects that are proposed within the Central County communities. Therefore, this waiver is sought in an abundance of caution.
