THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The Racial Equity Task Force (RETF) is comprised of 37 members appointed by the Broward County Commission. Florida Rising, formerly known as New Florida Majority, may nominate a member to be appointed by the County Commission.
The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the RETF pursuant to Section 1-118, Broward County Code:
• Sydney Kinsler Londyn as the Florida Rising, formerly known as New Florida Majority.
Sydney Kinsler Londyn was nominated by the Florida Rising, formerly known as New Florida Majority to serve on the RETF on April 12th, 2021. The County Attorney has determined that Sydney Kinsler Londyn qualifies for appointment (Exhibit 1).
