The Broward County Aviation Department and the Office of the County Attorney recommend approval of this item.
This litigation involves claims that the County (through a vendor) issued credit card receipts, in connection with airport parking, that contained prohibited information. The Plaintiff initially filed this putative class action in federal court but dismissed that case and refiled it in state court.
This matter is submitted as a supplemental item because the settlement agreement was recently finalized, and pursuant to a court scheduling order the parties are required to enter into any settlement agreement by May 19.
