MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to execute Three Party Escrow Agreement between Broward County, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the State of Florida, Department of Financial Services, Division of Treasury (Escrow Agent), providing for the County to deposit the total estimated cost of $421,663 into an escrow account to fund construction of the County's Adaptive Traffic Control System along SR 817/University Drive from north of SR 84 to north of NW 1st Street. (Commission Districts 1 and 5)

Why Action is Necessary
A. Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to enter into legal agreements with the Florida Department of Transportation.
B. Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to authorize the County Administrator to execute agreements with other governmental agencies.
What Action Accomplishes
A. Provides funding from Broward County to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for construction services of an Adaptive Traffic Control System along SR 817/University Drive from north of SR 84 to north of NW 1st Street to be included as part of FDOT's roadway improvements project.
