Summary Explanation/Background
THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Planning and Development Management Division has received a request to vacate a ten-foot Florida Power and Light and AT&T easement and a ten-foot People’s Gas easement lying within Parcel A of the Lamont Plat, as recorded in Plat Book 172, Page 132 of the Public Records of Broward County and located at 933 Southwest 12th Avenue in the City of Pompano Beach. Vacating these easements will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owner.
The City of Pompano Beach adopted Ordinance No. 2020-41 on February 25, 2020 granting approval of the abandonment and vacation of the ten-foot Florida Power and Light and AT&T easement and a 10-foot People’s Gas easement. Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the abandonment and vacation of the subject easements.
This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney (see Exhibit 1).
