Summary Explanation/Background

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

The Resolution will convey an irregularly-shaped road easement measuring approximately five feet by 240 feet from 212 Second Avenue, LLC to Broward County (Exhibit 1). The easement is located along the west side of SE 3rd Avenue, a County road, south of SE 2nd Street in the City of Fort Lauderdale, as shown in Exhibit 2. The executed Road Easement (Exhibit 3) is required to provide adequate sight distance for future safety and pedestrian enhancements at the intersection and to accommodate future multi-modal transportation.

 

The Resolution and Road Easement have been reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney's Office.
