Summary Explanation/Background
THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISON RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 380 high-rise units and 35,000 square feet of commercial use on approximately 2.7 acres located on the east side of Bryan Road, between Northeast 1 Street and Stirling Road in the City of Dania Beach. Regarding affordable housing, the proposed dwelling units are not subject to Policy 2.16.2 as the associated amendments does not propose additional residential units to the Broward County Land Use Plan.
