Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to license property pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23.

Summary Explanation/Background

In order to ensure convenient community access to the services of the Broward County Supervisor of Elections (SOE) throughout Broward County at all times of the year, and particularly during the period leading up to any election, SOE desires to license from County space in some County properties to establish permanent offices to provide SOE services. The County is willing to grant SOE a license to access and use the space in the Broward County Libraries Division.

 

The following are the current locations:

1.                     Miramar Library located at 2050 Civic Center Place in the City of Miramar and identified as Folio Number 5140-2413-0030

2.                     Southwest Regional Library located at 16835 Sheridan Street in the City of Pembroke Pines and identified as Folio Number 5140-0528-0011

3.                     Northwest Regional Library located at 3151 N. University Drive in the City of Coral Springs and identified as Folio Number 4841-2220-0020

4.                     Tamarac Library located at 8701 W. Commercial Boulevard in the City of Tamarac and identified as Folio Number 4941-0904-0201

 

Under the License Agreement, the County Administrator will be authorized to amend the License Agreement to designate substitute or additional locations for the SOE permanent offices. 

 

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
