Summary Explanation/Background

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Planning and Development Management Division received a request to vacate a five-foot utility easement lying within Lot 1, a three-foot utility easement lying within Lots 2 and 3, and a three-foot utility easement lying within Lot 15, all lying within Block 1 of Sunnyside Estates, as recorded in Plat Book 19, Page 35 of the Official Records of Broward County, Florida, located at the southwest corner of Washington Street and South Dixie Highway in the City of Hollywood. Vacating these utility easements will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owner.

The City of Hollywood adopted Resolution No. R-2021-V-015 on January 20, 2020, granting approval of the vacation of the subject easements.

Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the vacation of the subject easements.

This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney, see Exhibit 1.
